Collective Giving at the Federation:
Coming Together to Create More Impact

Collective Giving empowers people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities to give to participate in philanthropy. Groups of donors with shared interests learn, build community, aggregate their funds, and make strategic grants to further a cause they believe in. Federation is building Collective Giving opportunities to bring people together. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, email Danielle Meshorer to start something!

COLLECTIVE GIVING OPPORTUNITIES

OPEN THROUGH APRIL 30, 2024:
Online Passover Giving Event: Global Jewish Citizens Fund
Learn, donate, and allocate to organizations working to support those effected by the crisis of global forced migration.

Jewish Pride Fund
Founded in 2018, Jewish Pride Fund (JPF) is committed to supporting the intersecting needs, values, and interests of the LGBTQ and Jewish communities in the Bay Area, nationally, and in Israel. This giving circle is open to all members and allies of the LGBTQIA+ community. Donors can also contribute to the JPF grant pool without participating in the giving circle activities.

Bay Area Tribe
Bay Area Tribe was formed following the October 7 Massacre. The group’s overall goal is to strengthen the Jewish young adult (20s-30s) community in the Bay Area. Bay Area Tribe is working on engagement through three pillars: nonprofit engagement, community events, and Israel advocacy. Donors can support the Bay Area Tribe’s philanthropic efforts with a contribution to their grant pool.

Jewish Teen Foundation
Each year, a select group of Jewish high school students joins Jewish Teen Foundation (JTF) to become empowered, confident, and effective leaders who learn how philanthropy can effect change. These teens cultivate skills in philanthropy, fundraising, leadership, social justice issues, confidence, communication, and collaboration. The JTF teens focus and raise money for issues they choose together each year. Learn more, apply, or nominate a teen.

Pop-ups
Pop-ups are one-time giving circles that can take place at the Federation, in a donor’s home, in a park, or pretty much anywhere that like-minded donors can learn, give, and celebrate together. Let’s collaborate and bring your ideas to life.
